 NEW ELECTRICAL PANEL

The original electrical configuration on an Ericson Independence was somewhat of a mystery to me, the AC panel was located beneath the galley sink, and the DC panel was located directly behind the
galley sink. I am thinking I would have put them almost anywhere other than those two locations.

My plan was to relocate both AC and DC panels from their current locations on the port side, to the nav station on the starboard side.

The only things currently located in the nav station were a VHF radio installed on a peice of teak covering a larger left over cut out hole, an inverter, and a stained glass door.

The Journey001

In March of 2010 after months of searching the internet and local marinas we narrowed our choices to three boats. Our journey took us over 2300 miles in five days, through ten different states.

New Beginnings

Ok, I think we may be ready to go this time with a little less lag between posts! We have kicked off the new year with a new business, a new web site, a positive attitude (not new) and a longing for the Georgia winter to loosen it's grip so we can get back to working on and enjoying our boat, which for us is one and the same. We are really going to talk about two boats here, the Emerald Lady and the Karly Lynn, more on that to follow.
